"It didn't take Them long"...........

After the paragraph about how the field-of-two...the twin envelope (nice image 
yes?) of  peace...happened right after kicking the tires... of the inanimate 
world and 'wising-off', 
so to say to the laws of retribution..

Them =  the retribution of the inanimate world akin to the return of the 
[cosmically] repressed? Relate to karma, y'all  

and years before any "They" in GR.........but in the book's time just a bit 
after
