the classic test in the shrink world is "do they pose a danger to
themselves or to others" // I'm hard pressed not to hate warmongers,
but it's a losing game, emotional-economy-wise.  Trying to think of a
winning strategy (or a "stable strategy" like in Eileen Gunn's short
story...)

one of the most moving passages so far in Hitch-22 is where he hears
that Wilfred Owen, Dulce et Decorum, for the first time.  Between that
and reading How Green was my Valley, I think he intends to say, rests
the credit for turning him from the path of his Tory upbringing.
