rumors before Mason & Dixon

This is felt to be have been leaked--see the late lamented John Leonard--
from grant applicatications, or after granted, particulary the MacCarthur
Genius grant.
Some think that the mothra storyline was merged and narrowed and sea-changed within AtD but only TRP knows fer sure.
