'Romeo and Juliet': Just as You Misremembered It

The big problem with rose and jack is that hollywood has soooo
convinced readers or rather viewers that the titanic that sinks love
in the western world is the capitalist - patriarchal iceberg when in
fact it was never passion but Romeo's lust that killed R&J. But to
convince modern viewers that Romeo is more Iago than dreamer of
midsummer nights is like trying to convince the same viewers that
Hamlet is a deeply-flawed masterpiece or that Othello is a greater
play than either R&J or Hamlet.
