I've been reading P&V. I read AK when the paperback came out
and finished War and Peace about a month ago. I've read about 95% of
Tolstoy's fiction which hs been translated into English.
I find that, in general, newer translations are written in a
vernacular and with an expectation of cultural background that is easier
for me to appreciate than ones that were written previously.
