Yes, of course. But, I was talking about awareness. I failed to make
something clear. Talking about the unconscious mind is simply a way of
talking about phenomena. In the practice of hypnotherapy, it is a very
useful way to talk about many phenomena. I am curious, though. How can
something that is not physical be "stored" anywhere? I was speaking
metaphorically.
The philosopher Richard Rorty claimed that someday we will be able to refer
to experiences as, for instance, "firing of synapes a and d in coordinate B2
at time T1." We would (should) drop all talk of things like "I feel pain in
my left knee." Brain states are another valuable way to talk about
experience, but their usefulness has limits.
I don't think any of this reveals the Truth. Indeed, there is no such thing.
All we have are clusters of truths that never provide Truth. Just
truthiness.
