Memories are physical. Take away the brain, and there ain't no more

Many years ago I was in a motorcycle accident and had retrograde
amnesia.
Couldn't remember a thing I did for the 4 hours before the accident, nor
the accident itself. Still can't. Weird going to the hospital I
worked at
and reading a 4 page new patient admission I wrote up and remembering
none
of it. Them memories were not accessible due to damage to my brain where
they were stored until the accident.
