I see it, I think, as a near-tableau...with little movement...
1) blue-specs goes into second box....he had ALREADY come from the corridor
either past statue or not
2) then the two men moving....'turn the corner" where statue is....and go into
next box
3) then a girl....'comes down the hall"....hall = corridor, right? she comes
from the other direction since no mention is made of her
turning a corner ? (where statue is?)
Then things happen....smoking gun but no one hears gunshot....because mask of
tragedy statue has no ears? silence is total...
OR are someone's ears 'dying' before someone's vision?....girl leaves in
tears.....fat man follows....out of field of vision = back down hall
the way she came?
4) man in shadow at end of corridor....fighting men entangled and one holds
other's head toward the light......(would mean toward
the man who has the light behind him).............Now he flame-throws
orange....second (crouching) man now half-rises and looks at
him (man in shadow) .....now this guy collapses.....and his white face looms
ever closer......(to whom or what???)

I thought that he was falling from a crouched position, and his head was falling
eastward (toward the statue).
But what bugs me about my arrangements is, why does the text only mention
turning by the statue once?
That fact makes it seem like some of the other people are walking from/to
somewhere else, presumably out an exit to the west. But if there is a western
exit, why the statement about the end of the corridor?
