Greek translation of GR?

Hi all

Does anyone know what the translations of GR are like, in general, or the Greek one, in particular?  I guess to know you'd have to be extremely fluent in the language, if not a native speaker.

When I read it I wonder whether it's even possible to render this into any other language; but then I've read it so many times in my native English that I might be underestimating how good a translation could be.  And - I hope - GR would attract slightly crazy, masochistic translators willing to bend and stretch and generally beat their own language to within an inch of its life, as much as TRP does.

I'm hoping to buy this as a present for a Greek friend, whose English is excellent; but judging from her reaction to other books I've lent her, with "hard" English literature she finds her ability in English makes it too hard work.  I'd hate her to miss out on GR just because of this!

I'm just wondering whether anyone here knows how effective GR is in translation, or about this translation specifically.
