I saw him in 1978 in Lakeland with these 2 lesbians who kind of
dragged me to it, they also managed to get permission from the halfway
house where I met them to go see Renaldo and Clara though I didn't
manage that trip, didn't realize that it might've been worth the
hassle...
anyway, on that night he played "It Ain't Me Babe" for about a half
hour it seemed, very strong, really stays in yer mind when he hits a
tune like that, just nails it the way only a live performance can

In 1974 in Ann Arbor he played "It's All Right Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)"
that way.  Got an ovation *during* the song...okay, it was for the
line "even the president of the united states must sometime have to
stand naked" and anti-Nixon feeling was high, and it was an
ovation-happy crowd (he got one earlier for throwing his scarf on) -
but still!

hmm, gotta get out 'n' see him in the new millenium sometime...
