V. is an Existential Wasteland. From Mondaugan, as Ro-ro suggests, we
can see the pre-Romantic P, the one closer to what he called in that
Ford Foundation App, a young artist in a noman's land or Modernist
Wasteland (not exact phrase, sorry) who develops a cosmic chaos for a
decadent culture where a malevolent inanimate force works to
dehumanize and annihilate humanity and the earth.
GR, VL and M&D, and AGTD (and even that IV) confirm, P the elder's
Romanticism--his "Orphic Naturalism"; so we should mention the text
that we've not mentioned, Rilke. Look into that Ro-ro. Or I'll send
you my notes?
