(l NP ) great speech Mr Obama

I can see that many people have decided to be realistic about the
Repubicratic Euro Chinese multinational fascist state and cheer on
it's current liar in chief , or pretend that the Tea Party can save
them with even more war and banksterism. Meanwhile the soul drains
out of the republic and the constitution and the earth is being
poisoned and everyone on it is brought into economic and military
submission.

I prefer naivete. If Vermont can stand up against the war machine and
elect a socialist senator and the honorable Patrick Leahy, why can't
other states? All my life the realism you speak of has meant one
thing, lies that justify murder and theft. What they are calling
realism is not realism but the shit they sell on TV. It is
murdering a million people and describing it this way:

"The United States has paid a huge price to put the future of Iraq in
the hands of its people. We have sent our young men and women to make
enormous sacrifices in Iraq, and spent vast resources abroad at a
time of tight budgets at home. We have persevered because of a belief
we share with the Iraqi people –a belief that out of the ashes of
war, a new beginning could be born in this cradle of civilization. "

Yes, sure, and that is why all over the world people are clamoring
and crying out to the US asking us to do for them what we did for Iraq.

If a person wants some realism it might be a good idea to turn off
the TV or just heave it into a deep hole and look at the world
without it.
