And, help me out kai, he musta 'made the deal' already, yes? The last fair deal 
going down? (a man can grow out of the sixties but, etc....)

Already we have an epigraphic sign---and meta sign, yes? Or sign pointing two 
ways.
To the (postmodernist?) notion that thw words to follow form a character AND, of
course to the formation of that man as if he existed in life---fiction's 
conceit.
