Besides all of the overt book mentions, there is this sly, 'hidden' one on page

just like TRP does it...maybe more (but, of course, I know him better)

And.......did TRP ever do this in a short story? Aren't all the references overt 
in those 

stories...(although the ideas--entropy; mercy and mortality--- are bent and 
'hidden' in numerous ways.
