TRTR: Pattern Recognition Redux

I just finished Information: The History, the Theory, The Flood by James Glick.  Super book taking the reader from the drumbeats of African natives and Plato through the Morse code,  information theory (Claude Shannon and Alan Turing etc.), entropy, Maxwell's Demon, the internet and beyond.
