GR translation: wallpaper awhisper with peacocks

We differ.

Ockham's razor leads me to the other definition of awhisper, the soundless one.

I have trouble with, even indirectly--why? where's the grammatical logic? ---movement and sound
of wallpaper images.....

"Awhisper" is an adjective modifying wallpaper, attributing
(indirectly) movement and sound of wallpaper images of peacocks'
tails.

"Nothing's hand" wipes across wallpaper
[from] [wallpaper] awhisper with peacocks spreading their fans
[then]  down [more wallpaper of] deep lawns to Georgian
[then] to [more wallpaper of] safe groves
