I was never that concerned with V. qua V....
more a sense of the book as monkey puzzle

I mean, V. is all kinds of symbolic, but, well, the book V. is the
subject of my fascination, not the character V.

In a way, I guess it's the same kind of projective geometry. V. the
character consists of a finite set of data prone to various
interpretations.

V. the book, though, yes, also finite, is bigger and contains other
characters.

Stencil, to suggest interpretations of V. and find her in various
surroundings, to bring in a sense of a huge world and a long past.

BP, to be uninvolved in this quest and, however diffidently, to be
involved in a search for love instead, to set forth a smaller,
personal world and a dynamic present, "this particular time"

I will say this: V. as a title is ever so much better than "...and
then his ass falls off"
