Another Against the Day allusion learned serendipitously

Early in Against the Day, there is the mention of some bad shit
that happens in a little blackwater of Florida............
Wiki annotators can find nothing but a possible allusion to Blackwater
the contemporary private military company. Maybe this is one of p's harmonics,
BUT, more certainly, Isabel Wilkerson who is still on Book TV as I write
this, answering questions about her book Warmth of Other Sons: the story
of the black migration 1915-1970 has just told this: She says
her book is organized around three main people as examples of the three
major streams of migrants.....................
One is a man who was working picking produce in Florida who was pushing
for more steadily, another 2c a load say, when one night was told on the sly
by a sympathetic white man that he had heard they were planning on inviting
him to another lynching party down at blackwater creek.....................
IF blackwater is another place that is not on any maps, we've now learned of it
for the wiki.
(I hope someone who can post on the wiki, might post this)
The man obviously fled, like Chick Counterfly, and made it north safely and
lived
to be part of Ms. Wilkerson's book.
