GR translation: in dark confessional

Another tough translation for how much it splinters in different directions.

I'd say that the RC confessional is definitely intended to come to mind, but
I read it as their being in the kneeling posture taken by those who are
confessing, and expressing the extent of their vulnerability, to boot, with
the darkness being metaphorical.
