> But the real world is very very violent.
Yeah, Japan was hit by a bad combination, an act of the gods and the
hubris of man.
Violence.
Does anybody remember the gulf oil spill or Katrina after Japan?
The Signal Bleeds. The bad news on the doorstep is somebody else's
dirty laundry now.
But we needn't Let it Bleed.
While we need more than Love to Let it Be.
I have to admit it's getting so much better all the time.
The world is better now.
Less violent.
More people, more of them living better lives than there grandparents.
Human progress, if you believe in it, don't come easy.
There are blues songs and jazz tunes and folk ballads and gangster
raps to give voice to the violent swings and rocks and rolls and dead
men who tell too many tales, talk too much shit.
It ain't easy being Green, but we only human, born to make mistakes,
free to fall from grace.
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
Monuments of unageing intellect.
All? Not all. Well, perhaps all that are caught in that sensual music,
but not all.
Not us tattered coats upon sticks.
