My last inquiry about Rick Moody's FOUR FINGERS OF DEATH elicited a
deafening silence (except for the always attentive Mr. Applebaum). I was
amused to learn that he is part of Melanie Jackson's sizable stable.

He also presents an amusing version of this "vulgar world of betting" which
cranks the "Dead Pool" to 11.....
