GR translation: her glassy wastes

Ultimately, my mom is the one to blame since she is the one who
started me on this impossible task.  Obviously, she had absolutely no
idea what she was getting herself into, not to mention what she got me
into.  Now she is already having trouble keeping all the characters
and their names straight.  I probably should draw up a dramatic
personae just for her.
