1Q84 SPOILER "Pampas grass"--tangential TRP and Murakami, maybe...

Remember the pampas grass passage from GR which we all discussed here
(and had some ambiguous differences over)? 
 
At almost the very conclusion of 1Q84, there is a return to a world knowing it for the
first time, perhaps, per Eliot's phrase..(Murakami does not quote that) and it begins this way:
 
'There was just one moon. That familiar, yellow, solitary moon. The same moon that silently
floated over fields of pampas grass, etc., etc...."
