That poison gas line which Cyprian wants to disable. I get echoic feelings of Slothrop and the bombs but here
as the coming of an inevitable future not an inevitable feeling of death
as Cyprian learns how hard it is to even admit of---the locals---or get rid of the Interdikt. Even "Bulgarian
crime" backed down.
Music of the spheres NOT again as Prof Sleepcoat sez that perhaps Lydian music is gone forever: "that gap in the
musical continuum, that silence, is a first announcement of something terrible, of which this structural silence is only
an inoffensive metaphor."
TRP writes WW1 in advance, in the atmosphere of the world.
