_The Guns of August_ sounds interesting, too.

Mark mentioned the connections with TRP. When I heard about this, I did immediately think that it might resonate well with his works. 

All speculation, of course, since I haven't read it, yet.

I wondered if it might connect with Jung's Tower, too, which features in 1Q84.

I've been listening to 1Q84. It's always different to listen to a book than it is to read it, but in this case I imagine that it is a strikingly different experience since there is a different reader for each chapter's "host" (or whatever the right word would be).
