It is sweet and sweetly done, imho. I liked it. 
 
AND, did we discuss loyalty theme enuff? so clearly a leitmotif
hereon---Shasta refers to it in answer to the 'moral' question and
 
then she leaves telling Doc 'he never let her down'...really........
that is, was loyal, in one reading, yes?
