Actually that's pretty credible. Corporate marketing and
communications divisions often go to 3rd parties to buy blocks of ad
placement that target certain demographic segments; Rush's show would
be desirable because of his high ratings; I'd also guess that he has
relatively large numbers of listeners in rural/remote areas where
residents are dependent on Netflix (rather than a local video store)
for their movies. It's very believable that Netflix would have no
idea where their radio ads (or online ads, or TV ads) were cropping up
unless someone senior in marketing specifically asked. The Netflix
folks were most likely looking at the numbers and not paying much
attention to the programming.
