I read James Wolcott's memoir "Lucking Out: My Life Getting Down and
Semi-Dirty in Seventies New York.
Kael is prominently featured in one section. She and Wolcott became
great friends back then. She was, it seems, a bit controversial, and
eventually fell victim to rivals' attacks, both from within and
without the New Yorker.
