For me movie critics are most useful for pointing out really bad movies, 
so you don't have to bother with them. But being directed to ones you 
might actually like is another proposition, Kael included, not that she 
didn't have her moments. I had a funny experience with Last Tango. You 
had to reserve tickets in advance but I and my s.a. forget to use our 
first set and had to reorder. And after all that, I honestly couldn't 
see anything so special in this movie Pauline Kael had raved about.
