Paul Thomas Anderson does not make gore movies. There's a different Paul 
(W.S.) Anderson who makes such things. The P.T. Anderson in question made 
Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, and There Will Be 
Blood, a small but strong body of work.

I know there are some good gore movies,and I haven't watched any by Anderson 
but all this guy makes are horror gore movies.  Is that a good skill set for 
Pynchon? Has he done humor?
