1. Rebekah appears to Mason.

2. Mason recants to Dixon day of the Octuple Glaucester at annual cheese
rolling. [Adenoidal]

3. Process of getting Octuple crosstown to church.  Mason sad, dreams of
meeting Susanah.

4. Octuple rolls down hill, Mason pushed out of way by Rebekah.

5. M and Reb. back on volcano, reminisce what could have been, M's regret,
Reb. disappears.

6. Mason wakes at noon, discusses possible Dieter/encounter and
mental/health with Mask.
6a. Mason goes back to other side of island.

7. Back in James's Town, Mason crawls into Museum of Ear, Nick Mournival
guiding tour.
7a. Mason recons it's a Rebekah "metaphysic".

8. Mick forces Mason to whisper into ear.  Mason wishes for Rebekah to live
and Dixon to return.

9. Dixon on way to England w/M claims he heard Mason's ear-whisper [which
constitutes best humor so far].

10. MandD wonder why Mask remains on St. Helena.  Mention America offer.

11. Back in England, Dix heads north.  M visits family, sisters, Susanah
and Bradley.

12. Rebekah tells Susanah story of sailors foretelling her meeting Mason,
though not Mason's likeness at all.

13. Sus. and Reb die.  Mason considers being Bradley's assistant.
