Brooks got tapped, what can you say.  Nobody would refuse the job who could
be tapped.  Brooks writes what the Times wants him so write; he's not human
in the sense of free will, free mind.  He's a deeply indoctrinated human
who fit the bill at the right time.

He's the Sociologist of the Group of 'Em.  He's about as free as the
Foreign Policy Expert, who you'll recall, thought invading Iraq was
Necessary and Good, and who now believes that We just *didn't do it right.*
