Many of the cameos are people/musicians that live here that we see on
the street or clubs frequently.  And Lord knows those musicians ca use
the paycheck from HBO.  And I hope John Boutte is making a bundle from
his original theme song.  If you ever get a chance to hear him live,
go.  He's really great.

There are so many local details about New Orleans culture that they've
gotten right, and that those unfamiliar with this place won't be able
to understand or appreciate w/o a guide.  But they do provide a
commentary option when they release it in DVD.
