way back in the early 1970s, i majored in non-pref at univ of mich for
2 years, then had a nervous breakdown, the voices in my head were
arguing amongst themselves, so to speak, lost some time...
took some night classes at a private school, rollins college in winter
park florida and imagined myself capable of returning to days full
time at rollins...gave that 'the old college try' (heh heh)...
after a semester, had another buffer overflow...lost some more time
(as far as pursuit of a degree, anyway)
went to ftu, now called ucf, asymptotically approached the ba in
english, tried various capstone courses, you had to have 2 out of 3
milton/chaucer/shakespeare - the only one i could finish was
chaucer...and each time i tried to pass milton or shakespeare, the
static in my mind increased to the point where i had to go do
something else for a while...
have been doing something else for quite awhile now...still love
reading though...
