Agree.  Read The Mezzanine, skip the rest.

The Mezzanine is a small masterpiece, imho.

I am reading through the odd back issue of The Paris Review and in the one I just finished, 198, there were interviews with Nicholson Baker and Dennis Cooper. I have never read anything by either, but Human Smoke was mentioned on the list recently. Any thoughts pro or con on these two writers? Thanks!

Rich
