hmm, if you are dissecting humor, what about a pinch of Austrian one... I
guess it's still a bit different, especially Viennese (black) humor... you
could look for "Kottan ermittelt", a classical, somewhat weird 1970s
Austrian TV series about a lazy and inapt but always lucky police officer.
also, I'd recommend "Drei Herren":

however, you need to be willing to put up with the dialect, it's not a
language-course German for sure...
