No, no, no! I'm not gonna support this fraud any longer. Hoping that the
'Alternative für Deutschland', a non-racist anti-euro party founded by
economists, is already at the start at the federal election in
September, I've made up my mind not to go with the majority on this one.
Well, I'm turning 46 this month, so for me personally things probably
won't get that dramatic. But my children are teenagers and I don't want
them to pay the price for my generation's cowardice. Unlike the
propaganda from Brussels and Berlin says, the real danger for European
peace comes not from those who wanna call off the euro as long as
there's still time, yet from those with the
let's-close-our-eyes-and-hope-for-the-best-attitude. Before the
introduction of the euro the inner-European relations were rather good.
And now? Well, not wanting to talk about others, I just have to say that
I have absolutely no interest in doing vacation in countries where
self-righteous protesters show swastikas and warn against an imaginary
'Fourth Reich'. (What? Oh yes, sure, if there are still reparations to
be paid, this should be done rather sooner than later, but the one thing
has nothing to do with the other.) Hostilities and tensions in Europe
grow day by day. Do you really think the helpless muddling-through we're
witnessing will solve this problem? I don't. Not anymore. Quite the
contrary. The only chance for peace and prosperity is to call off the
euro as long as this is still possible. To keep up a currency-union with
divergent economic (bzw financial) cultures is, on the territory of this
war-devastated continent, not only a nonsensical but also a very
dangerous policy. The whole thing will explode ...
