BE: "list of things to keep alert for, ambush by rolling aluminum"

i've read commercial jets described as one long thing aluminum
tube--dealing with 9/11 in this way, which Pynchon is noted for in past
books by never addressing things head on but off to the side so to speak
would seem to be a good strategy considering how most 9/11 themed novels
have failed.

i know lots to stake on half a sentence but like those obsessed with
Kubrick's The Shining, never know where such ruminations will take one.. in
any case, it's fun
