Kathryn Hume on Pynchon (Pynchon's Mythography)

I was pleased to see Charles Hohmann's brilliant syudy cited, and
Eddins, and Hume; these have been widely dismissed by the industry
establishment. The review linked below makes me wonder if the critic
bothered to read the book and, more importantly, if such readings are
taken more seriously now that we've got more of Pynchon to digest. I
certainly hope so. That K. Tololyan dismisses what is surely the most
important work on P to date as merely old stuff the industry has
covered is remarkable.
