So /this/ again?! Like the protesters in Greece, Spain and Italy before,
people in Cyprus carried posters showing swastikas plus Merkel wearing a
SS uniform and an Adolf Nazi toothbrush beard. Great job, guys! You
really know how to keep Europe together ... Well, perhaps it would be
best to call off the Euro thing right now. I mean, this would also make
sense economically: Giving back Spain the peseta, Italy the lira, Greece
the drachme and so on, would enable these countries to devalue their
currency on their own and, thus, make their products more attractive on
the world market. Tourists would come in troops and everybody will be
happy. Unlike all the propaganda cooked up in Brussels says, the Euro is
not a peace-making project. Quite the contrary, as it turns out these
days. A common currency cannot work when you have different economic bzw
financial cultures. And of course it's not only the economy: We do not
even share a common language. And neither the EU nor the Euro have a
real democratic legitimation, since Europeans did either vote against it
it or were never asked. It's an elitist project in disrespect of the
people's power. So let's stop the 'United States of Europe' before it's
too late! Only an Europe of independent nations will be a peaceful
Europe in the long run.
