I agree with pretty much all you say here.
Since you can't be united, the Euro will never work in hard times.
In the USA, rich States subsidize poor States, and no one complains about
unfairness. In fact, the States that bitch the most about the Feds
stepping on "State's Rights" are the ones being subsidized the most
(Southern red States). And our Central Bank isn't hamstrung by politics
(although it IS too conservative in its actions).
