you should read the Lawrence Wright book on Scientology, Going Clear (if
you haven't). yup, black masses and shit with that crowd is all explained
in detail in the book. Parsons comes across as rather pathetic though its
hard not to feel sorry for the guy. Hubbard (big surprise) was just a
monster, a truly awful human being. Wright is actually pretty fair in his
assessments, helped I think by his writings on other cults and  Al Qaeda.
