The layering is chronological and geographic, as usual, space-time
doublings abound. The school the kids attend, for example, puts on
Guys and Dolls, a stretch for kids their age, but, we might think,
well  it is Yupper-ville after all, so the gangster slang of Rap is in
the House,

But it's LaGuardia, where Madona's daughter goes to school, a public school.

The West Side Story geography, where the Latins are run out to make
room for Lincoln Center, suburban no white flight Jewish culture, and
the high school, where the UWS white kids, almost all Jewish faculty
and staff, now a bit more more Asian, but not Black or Latino, and
though 70% of NYC students are either Black or Latino, only 14% white,
14 % "Asian", is considered a white school with Twinkies and Bananas
(Asian who identify white), and a handful of"majority" kids.
