I thought that was interesting too. I think it implies that myth pushes
through independently of language and maybe that has to do with the
existence of the cats. If in the future there were no evidence for the
existence of the cats then maybe the myth would die along with the
language; like there needs to be some artifact in order for there to be a
meaning and there needs to be a meaning for there to be a myth.

Wonder why all the weirdest shit happens in New Mexico. I used to live
there.
