Apps made me think of Scrivener
<http://www.literatureandlatte.com/scrivener.php>...truth is, I haven't
used it myself since I thrive in disorganized clutter, but for those among
us who prefer visual layouts, representations of structure, and a way to
arrange research adjacent to your manuscript, it seems to be quite useful.
Many of my writer friends who do things like rise at a decent hour to write
before work (as opposed to my method of writing into the wee hours and
sleeping through work) have nothing but praise for it. I thought of giving
it a shot when the iTunes store offered a discount as part of some
promotion, but I took an honest (and therefore rare) assessment of myself
and realized I'd never use it.
Plenty of reviews to be found just by Googling it. Really does look like a
good tool, and I would imagine that for someone artistically inclined, it
might align well with the way she works.
