I didn't love this novel. It had nothing new. A recent Time Magazine cover
asked, "Can Google Solve Death?" and a recent Wired Magazine claims "Bill
Gates Wants to Fix the World with Bill Clinton"

So, not like BE at all in that BE is about the past and present and not the
Utopian/Dystopian Future. Pynchon hints at the madness that will be made,
but he never writes a 1984 novel. He never writes a science fiction or even
cyber punk or whatever novel. He remains a modernist with hysterical
realism exhausting his allegorical romances of history.
