(NP) true detective tidbit

I wonder what significance The King in Yellow and Carcosa references are
going to have. If I remember correctly, Lovecraft renamed the King as
Hastur (maybe it was Derleth?), who takes the form of an octopus. Reggie
Ledoux in ep. 5 had an octopus tattoo, twisted into a swastika. Maybe the
cult (if there is one? Only certain members?) is made up of big fans?
