Anybody else psyched by the new Godzilla trailer?

I'm looking forward to it. I'm one of the few people who loved the
1998 US version.
But it's always interested me how the Japanese Godjira evolved into
such a complex thing over the decades, sometimes positing the monster
as a hero, sometimes a villain, sometimes a victim, sometimes a clown.
And the way he works variously as a metaphor for nuclear power, for US
power, for the power of nature makes reading him such a rewarding
thing.
Whereas Hollywood keeps making the same Godzilla movie again and
again... let's talk about that.
