Putin's Counter Revolution

The West have almost no moral authority to intervene, as our activities
have been far worse than Russia's for the past couple of decades. I'm not
defending Putin, but bear in mind this is only Russia's second overseas
invasion since the Soviet days - compare that to America's record.
Obama may have voted against the war in Iraq, but he pressed for action
against Syria, has increased the number of drone strikes in the laughably
named War on Terror and has effectively supported an illegal coup against
Ukraine's democratically elected leader.
For all the discussion if Europe and the US, there's another international
power that's getting overlooked - China, whose increasing power and tacit
support has allowed Russia to throw her weight around, meaning we're
dealing with a very different scenario to the previous Cold War. I imagine
Merkel, Cameron and Obama are a lot more scared than they're letting on -
Obama's probably glad he's only got another couple of years to ride out.
