Great review, but: 

Not a single mention of Pynchon, really!? All the ideas / explorations / approach presented as solely PTA's. I understand that IV the movie is a different work of art than IV the book, but this is presented as Anderson's own brilliant brainchild in the way it looks at the era. Everything else I've read has made it seem pretty clear that in that regard, anyway, PTA was pretty faithful to the book. 

Not even a mention this was adapted from a book. A fairly recent one, by an important, if relatively unread, author. Pynchon's relationship to the film and possible cameo in it has been all over the media. This is just sloppy, lazy reviewing. I'm sure Anderson did a great job here, but...

Sorry, this is the kind of little thing that gets me riled up. Want to see the film all the more now, though.

Did any listers manage to pluck tickets this past weekend? I know at least a couple of you were trying...
